Casio PRT-501J Protrek Jean-Henri Fabre limited edition. In okay shape, some dirt and grime and smudges that I have not tried to clean off at risk of damaging directional indicators or any finishes.

This is a very rare limited edition PRT-501J, with a special case back featuring an image of entomologist Jean-Henri Fabre, and a quote from him. This special edition has a bug that appears on the display when the Light button is pressed. Excellent gift for an entomologist or for the usual watch nerd.

Fresh battery and appears to be in fully working condition, including the special bug backlight. Keeps time and all buttons push and seem to function. Untested beyond seeing them affect the display.

Purchased from Japan auctions as a “Maybe working/may need battery” condition, arrived with an incorrect battery, once replaced turned on immediately.

Comes on a fairly cheap rubber strap, with no original straps or papers (as I received it from Japan).
