Stunning, Early Victorian Sterling Silver Sugar Tongs.
A cracking pair of solid Fiddle Pattern Tongs by the renowned Silversmith, William Eaton in London in 1839.
They are beautifully engraved with bright cut decoration of leaves and vines,
They are in fantastic condition, no bends, dinks or twists, the ends of the bowls are lovely too and a great spring to them.
Hallmarked on one leg WE for William Eaton and a broad arrow shaped Journey Man's mark.
On the other; Leopard's Head, Lion Passant, D (in the Gothic script) for 1839, Victoria's Head Duty Mark.
5.75'', 14.5cm long, 1.5'', 3cm wide and a solid 37g in weight.
