This is an authentic vintage Sheaffer Lifetime oversized senior flat top fountain pen from the late 1920s or early 1930s. The pen measures approximately five end three eighths inches long when capped.

The solid 14k gold Sheaffer Lifetime nib is stamped with serial number 0390876. The iridium writing tip is structurally intact and straight. The hard rubber comb feed has no broken teeth.

The barrel imprint is crisp and highly legible. It reads W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. Pat. Aug. 25. 08. Fort Madison, IA. U.S.A. Dec. 10. 12 Jan. 27. 20 Nov. 24. 25. The white dot on the cap top is original and flush.

There are no cracks or chips in the celluloid. The cap remains a bright jade green while the barrel shows typical brown ambering discoloration from age. The lever mechanism moves freely.
