Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a rarer early Japanese bullet style microphone that only pops up once in a while. I believe this is a 1950's or 60's era crystal microphone. This make and model is unknown to me though I have seen about a half dozen of them over the years. There is no brand name on the mic but I believe it's a Calrad or Olson brand. The mic comes with the original 5 foot cable in which to operate.

This mic is 100% complete and has been tested but sadly there is no output. I'm not sure what the actual issue is but this will be a fun project for anybody who wants to put an hour or two into the mic to get it up and running again. The mic is the size of an apple. 3 3/4 inches deep X 2 1/2 inches wide at the bezel.

The light weight construction of the mic makes it easy to hold for hours and easy to cup when using a harmonica. It also has the lower chrome stand adapter which allows you to mount this mic on any desk or floor stand you have.

You'll notice that the mic has a volume knob on the rear of the mic to control the amount of output from the mic. The mic is actually a plastic or bake lite design which was common for those early Japanese microphones. It has the chrome plated front grill which looks very nice.

There is just lite physical wear on this mic as it was gently used over the past 70 years. Please let the detailed pics be your guide. The mic is free of any fractures or engravings. Just some lite discoloration on the black body. I would rate the mic a true 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10 though many would rate higher. It will make a very nice addition to any vintage mic collection.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

As with all my vintage microphones...
