Very beautiful piece for vintage decor, collection, enthusiast.
REMINGTON Nº7 YEAR 1904 Remington Nº7 typewriter, manufactured around 1898 by Wyckoff, Seamans and Benedict, in Ilion, New York, USA. The Remington Company was one of the fathers of the typewriter and one of the largest and most prolific companies in history. When the first typewriters appeared, we couldn't see what we were writing, it was for hidden writing. In order to see what we were writing, we had to lift the car. This happened because the rate bars hit the bottom of the paper and make an upward movement, which in English is called downstrike. The rate bars are arranged in an oval basket that resembles a bird's nest. It has a wide web, much wider than newer machines which had 13 or 16mm spools. The machine was made of black enameled cast iron. It has a keyboard consisting of four rows and a double shift key. Keeps the Remington logo and name on the clipboard in good condition. On the frame, under the space bar, in gold letters is the name Remington Standard Typewriter Nº7. It retains much of the decoration with gold and blue lines.
