ESP LTD SC-607B Stephen Carpenter Deftones Baritone Guitar — Magenta Metallic The SC-607B is a neck-thru baritone built for aggressive, downtuned playing with a thin U-shaped neck that balances fast fretwork with comfortable sustain across its extended 27" scale. This signature model channels Stephen Carpenter's approach to heavy riffing with articulate pickup response and tonal versatility engineered for both studio work and live performance. The striking magenta metallic finish marks this as a serious extended-range instrument designed for players committed to lower tunings and dynamic tone shaping. Construction & Hardware Neck-thru alder construction provides direct energy transfer and resonant sustain essential for baritone tunings, while the thin U-contoured three-piece maple neck accommodates both fast lead work and heavy riffing. The 27" baritone scale and macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets reduce string tension for lower tunings, and the TonePros locking TOM-style bridge with string-thru-body design paired with LTD locking tuners ensures stable intonation across aggressive playing and extended bending. Electronics & Tone Shaping Fishman Fluence SRC Signature active pickups in the middle and bridge positions deliver multiple voicing options via push/pull controls, providing access to clean articulation, mid-forward aggression, and high-gain saturation without switching guitars. The active electronics with volume and tone push/pull controls and 3-way switch expand your tonal palette for both rhythm work and dynamic lead passages.
