This item came from an estate in Virginia.

The colors and textures of the various woods used in this marquetry image are quite beautiful and earthy. 

 

The overall condition of this antique item is quite good for its age. 

I have used Guardsman Clean and Polish to keep the piece conditioned.  

The overall size of this piece is as follows:

Height is 18 and 3/4 inches.

Length is 24 and 5/16 inches.

Depth/thickness is 9/16 of an inch.

Weight is 5 pounds.

The size of the hunting image portion of the work is as follows:

Height: 12 inches

Length: 18 and 1/2 inches

The back of the piece has the original antique cord and metal hardware, so the piece is ready to be hung.

Light scratch areas in the image are as follows:

Four (4) vertical scratches directly above the lead dog and directly across from the house structure in the image. See the photo that captures the lower right quarter of the image.

Within the sky portion of the image there are a few extremely light scratches in the upper right area of the sky. See the photo for the top right quarter of the image.
