ROYAL DOULTON  EGG CUP

"WINNIE THE POOH"

ITEM:  Royal Doulton egg cup. Made in England by Doulton in the "Winnie the Pooh" franchise pattern (copyright held by Disney productions). 

DESCRIPTION: The egg cup is round and stands on a round base and is standard egg cup size. The rim is smooth with no trim. The main decoration is "Pooh" on one side and "Tigger" on the other. 

Note that the photos provided form part of the description. Any shiny spots or white marks are from the camera shots, not blemishes on the item. 

MATERIAL: Earthenware.

COLOURING: On a speckled cream ground. Other colours are black, gold and brown. 

MEASUREMENTS: Height is 4.5cms.It is 4.75cms in diameter across the top and 3.5cms in diameter across the base. 

CONDITION: No chips, cracks, glaze crazing,staining or restoration. Looks unused. In very good condition in my opinion.

MARKINGS: The bottom of the egg cup has the Royal Doulton lion and crown back stamp, and the pattern registration number, "LS1021" and "Winnie the Pooh". Also, "Made in England" and copyright, "Walt Disney Productions".

AGE:  Circa 1990, best guess. Not old.

GENERAL COMMENTS: Lovely collectable.A treasure for your collection or as a present. Small, so doesn't take up much space.

THIS EGG CUP WOULD MAKE A THOUGHTFUL AND DIFFERENT PRESENT!!!!.
