Familiarity, and all that, means that I am unsure if this was made during WW11 , or immediately following. I could think it was the former, as, by the end, everything was restricted, especially silks like thIs.  Either way, it's almost antique, as I am lol,. Am certain Mother expected daughters in law to inherit, but fact is I now have a very to try and find s someone interested. In these times of 'minimalIsm and IKEA, traditional handmade items are seldom appreciated.
It used to sit on a dressing table with crystal and cut glass accessories. But we all know about 'Used to' whatevers.  Main cloth is 43cm and the two side ones are 14cms
Looks and feels like very fine linen. Yet another thing never thought worth discussing.  Thinking how, in 'those days' the family was used to 'the best', i I think my hunch is likely true.
Similarly with 'asking'....very open to suggestions and offers as have no honest ideas.
Happy to try and answer queries.
