Tom Anderson Drop Top Classic Quilt Maple Top Ultraviolet Blue with Purple Edge Burst SN. 02-24-26P

A special guitar featuring a quilted maple top, hand-selected by Ikebe staff at Tom Anderson's workshop, has arrived!

The new Ultraviolet Blue with Purple Edge Burst color, with its deliberately unbound (Round Edges) look, is incredibly alluring and also remarkably lightweight!

Tom Anderson is a guitar manufacturer that has consistently evolved, boasting a level of craftsmanship unmatched by other manufacturers. It's no exaggeration to say they laid the foundation for modern custom components. Their meticulous wood management, in-house pickup production, and careful, time-consuming setup ensure maximum performance. Their woodworking skills, the quality of the wood used, and the precise setup are world-class. The fast response that will impress anyone who plays it is truly exceptional.

This Drop Top Classic features an alder back, a maple neck, and a blackheart fingerboard, resulting in a bright tone character and a well-balanced midrange with ample sustain and excellent attack.

The bridge is a simple and easy-to-use two-point Vintage Tremolo. Weighing approximately 3.14kg, it's incredibly lightweight for a solid-body guitar, making it easy to hold and perfect for long stage sessions.

The neck features a smoothly finished Even Taper shape. The carefully rounded fingerboard edges and easy-to-handle thin grip provide a well-balanced fit for many players. The neck section also showcases Tom Anderson's exceptional attention to detail, from the wood itself to the special A-Wedgie joint, Buzz Feiten Tuning System, and stainless steel frets. It produces a beautiful intonation at every position, allowing for stress-free playing. Stainless steel frets, known for their tarnish resistance and durability, have recently been receiving positive feedback regarding their sound, making them an increasingly reliable choice for players.

The pickups are arranged in an SC1/SC1/HC2+ layout, a combination that produces a musical tone. The SC1 pickup, with its noiseless construction, produces a pure and bouncy single tone, while the HC2+ pickup, with its exquisite expressiveness, skillfully extracts the delicious midrange that comes from the guitar's natural resonance, resulting in an outstanding match! The mild, high-quality richness and sharp definition of the tone can be felt in every position—a testament to Tom Anderson's craftsmanship. Its ability to effortlessly handle everything from clean to distortion is a strong point that will be indispensable for craftsman-like guitarists who need to meet the needs of the stage. The controls include a mini-switch for rear humbucker splitter switching, a 5-way lever switch with a push/pull switch on the tone knob, and a 3-position front and rear pickup output function, allowing for a wide range of sound shaping befitting a component/high-end instrument. In addition to the standard sound selection, the Tele-Mix-style tone with the front and rear pickup split is a must-listen! This style is widely loved by many guitar manufacturers and musicians with roots in country music. Enjoy creating sounds that maximize the advantages of each pickup.

This is a guitar that fully showcases the capabilities of Tom Anderson, a pioneer in component guitar brands! Its high level of craftsmanship and musical tone, which have captivated professional musicians, will surely charm you as well!
