Today I am offering this fabulous and very vintage Heath Ceramics handcrafted vessel.

The color is an all-over sand, putty, beige cream color. It has NO variations like ombre or two-tone as some of the Heath Ceramics pieces have.

I believe this piece is from the Coupe Line Collection that EDITH HEATH and her husband began producing from their Sausalito, California ceramics business in the middle of the previous century.

This lovely large round MCM bowl has clean lines and a fantastic glaze.

It does have a rim around the top, but not a flat flange like the later rim-line collection.

Perhaps it originally had a lid?

It has a matte glaze sandy appearance, with tiny specks.

Both the interior and exterior is the same with those miniscule brown speckles, very similar to ground apricot pits.

This impressive bowl measures approximately as follows:

The incised hallmark logo on the underside simply reads: HEATH.

There is NO ® mark, which leads me to think it's an older piece.

It's in excellent vintage pre-owned condition with no damage.

I see no chips, cracks, scratches, utensil marks, or crazing.

Even the underside looks great with no shelf storage wear.

Any white spots are just camera flash.
