CONDITION: This cover has been neatly opened at the rear flap. There is a central vertical crease, and some light creases and wrinkles elsewhere; plus one of the postage stamps has a missing corner. The images will show overall condition clearly. The previous owner has indicated that this cover has the correct postage (550pf) for a registered C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) cover. The postage stamps are Mi 61, 67 and 68. The boxed M.P.K. mark is believed to be a Military Censor mark issued at Konigsberg.
Over the coming weeks I hope to sell a large specialised collection of Memel featuring both French and Lithuanian occupation issues; including mint, used, and covers. It was formed in the U.K. by a very knowledgeable philatelist and contains many types and varieties.
