How to Use
Fill a bucket or pot with cool water.
Place two sturdy rods across the top of the container and rest the mold securely using its side handles.
Pour the prepared dough into the mold.
Use the press handle to push the dough through the holes at the bottom.
The freshly pressed Lod Chong noodles will fall directly into the water below.
Press steadily to achieve the desired noodle length and texture.
How to Make Thai Lod Chong in Coconut Milk
Coconut Milk Syrup Ingredients
• 250 g Palm Sugar
• 1 tsp Salt
• 800 ml Coconut Milk
Lod Chong Ingredients
• 130 g Rice Flour
• 80 g Arrowroot Flour
• 30 g Mung Bean Flour
• 400 ml Lime Water
• 600 ml Pandan Juice
Preparation
Mix rice flour, mung bean flour, arrowroot flour, lime water, and pandan juice in a large pan.
Cook over medium heat while stirring continuously in one direction.
Continue stirring for approximately 10–15 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and transfer the dough into the Lod Chong press.
Press the dough into cool water to form fresh Lod Chong noodles.
Serve with sweetened coconut milk and palm sugar syrup.
