This record was released before my time, but I know the man who owns the Master Recordings and he has a fantastic personal collection of this label that has been carefully stored since they were delivered to AVENUE'S Offices in Chingford, London.  

This disc is for collectors only, and they will know the Artists who are singing on this VINTAGE issue, but if you're new to this label the artists are listed in the heading. 

This particular mini LP AVE 89 was one of many discs withdrawn from Tesco Supermarket because some idiot employee had stuck Tesco price labels on a batch of discs that unfortunately, was the wrong price - hence the labels were removed (as best as possible) and covered with a circular label with the wording 'The Nation's Finest Cover Versions'  

That little mishap unfortunately affected several thousand AVENUE discs, so there's another little piece of history for you AVENUE COLLECTORS!.

THIS DISC HAS BEEN STORED FOR 55+ YEARS.  I ALWAYS WANT TO BE HONEST REGARDING THE CONDITION - IT HAS NOT BEEN PLAYED - THE DISC ITSELF MAY HAVE A FEW VISIBLE SLIGHT SIGNS OF STORAGE AND IS IN A MINT AVENUE SLEEVE (AS SHOWN)
