The long covered bridge is not only the longest such wooden bridge in all of New England but thought to be the longest structure of its kind anywhere. The village of Windsor, VT with its prominent white church steeple and several  homes and businesses can be seen behind the bridge up on a bluff overlooking the Connecticut River. The painting is signed A. Gratton on the lower right corner of the pictorial field. It appears to still be in its original 1920's to 1930's, pre-WWII period, thin-profile, gold gilt with blue enamel painted inset picture frame. The artist may be self-taught, as the manner is deliberate and rendered like a draughtsman. Very handsome. Clean.]
