Today I am offering this fabulous vintage UNUSED handcrafted, OOAK ensemble designed to fit a 11½" fashion doll. (Barbie size).

The Hula Dance outfit features a traditional strapless one-piece jumper or romper (pa'u) with a smocked bodice and bloomer style pants in solid purple colored fabric.

The pant legs are gathered at the ankles with elastic, creating a ruffled cuff effect.

It is paired with a flowing peplum style overskirt layer in a purple and white hibiscus floral print. (design inspired by vintage Hawaiian barkcloth or tapa).

The veIcro closure wrap skirt is finished with a flounced, purple-edged hem. The outer edges are wired so it remains full and fluffy.

The ensemble contains the following additional custom accessories:

• A headpiece made of greenery called a lei po'o
• 4 pieces of laurel-type greenery for the wrists and ankles called called kupe'e
• 2 purple fabric elastic upper armbands
• A triple-strand custom-made REAL SHELL lei necklace

There is paperwork included explaining the cultural significance of the outfit and the different pieces.

It specifically states that it is for a Barbie.

Everything is in unused, new condition, clean and fresh.

This is not something you can find from the store.

It is an expertly hand crafted ONE-OF-A-KIND set.

I believe this is Y2K era, it may be older. But I could be incorrect about the date in either direction.

Regardless, it is spectacular and very special. You won't find another one like it online.
