Francesco Piranesi (1758-1810) studied and designed the ground plan and profiles of the temple but he was misleaded as the temple represented in the engraving is the temple of Ceres and Faustina S II DC dedicated to Apia Ania Regila the wife of Herodes Aticus and teacher of Emperor Marcus Aurelius.
