Large etching, 76x 54 cms with wide margins. it represents some architectural elements of the Pantheon. Piranesi indicates that the second order doesn't exist at that time as it was removed in medieval times.
The Pantheon is the only Roman building that has remained in good shape since classical antiquity. Francesco Piranesi (1758-1810) drew and published the work on the Pantheon as his first independent work after his father's death Giovanni Baptista Piranesi.
