Up for grabs is a Vintage Star Wars Hammerhead action figure from Kenner in 1979. 21 back, no offer. HK manufactured. This particular one is missing the proof of purchase, but it is still a valuable vintage piece coming up on half a century.
Snagged from Toys R Us discount bin in 1980, this one has some flaws but still presents extremely well.
Main flaw on the front is damage near the peghole. part of the black of card in missing and some tape applied. photo. Overall the front is really nice. Good color and you can barely see that the POP has been cut if you look for it. Hole is almost entirely hidden under the figure. I put a yellow piece back there for display in star case. The front peghole card has some missing graphics and tape applied, but back side of peghole card is intact with some tape wrapping from front. Photos. Lower right corner is crunched a little and card surface on that corner is curling a bit on front and back.
Bubble is so nice. very solidly attached all around. very, very clear. When the POP was removed it does look like tip of xacto pierced the side of bubble 3 times. Other than that this bubble is perfect. Figure is pristine, gun held solidly in hand, eyes looking left.
The main flaw on back is the removed POP. Card was cut away along with some of the card surface surrounding affecting patrol dewback and droid factory graphics. photos. some creasing on the back as well near POP. some creasing on the side of back near Vader, Han and R2. photos. There is also bit of TRU sticker remaining at top. Looks like it was peeled but none of the card graphics were damaged. photo. Overall the back still looks really nice. really good color and presents well.
