Fine, original mid century modern American still life painting of kitchen cooking objects.
This painting is oil on masonite board and using the heavily textured side of the masonite.
The painting itself measures 20" by 16" and 21 1/2" by 17 1/2" counting frame.
It is signed lower right: Taft (Leva Taft) and though not dated, dates to circa 1950's or 1960's.
The artist entitles it "Copper Pink" on back. The artists address from the period is also written on the back.
The work is sensational and the artist uses her paint almost sculpturally, thick and expressive in a modernist mid century style.
Colors are bright and cheery and the forms sumptuous.
The artist depicts a copper tea kettle, 4 bottles, an ewer and a ladle to compose this cooking, kitchen scene.
Super painting to display in your kitchen or restaurant.
It has been very well cared for and is in very, very good vintage condition.
Ready to hang.
And..........it makes us feel good to buy something of beauty and value.
