This is a very attractive Akro Agate corkscrew with a bold, unusual color combination. It has a translucent honey-orange / amber base that lets light into the marble, giving it a warm glowing look. Wrapped through that base is a thick opaque turquoise-aqua corkscrew ribbon, with some darker teal shading inside the band. Alongside the aqua is a reddish-brown / root-beer colored ribbon that gives the marble a tri-color appearance.
The pattern is classic corkscrew construction: the colors do not look random or brushed on — they twist around the marble in a continuous spiral, opening into large rounded patches at the poles and then narrowing into curved bands around the body. The orange “windows” are especially strong, and the aqua band creates a nice contrast.
