Vintage Cast Iron Garden Table Base - Victorian Style Bistro Table - Legs Ends
Description
An antique style pair of cast iron table ends, with elegant curved legs and decorative riveted effect stretchers. Full of character and industrial charm, it would make an excellent base for a garden table, bistro table, console table, or bespoke reclaimed furniture project.
Constructed from cast iron with pairs of shaped legs joined by substantial top rails. The design has a strong Victorian industrial feel, with riveted construction and decorative detailing throughout. Originally likely from a large garden, café, pub, or industrial table. Dating is difficult to confirm, though it appears late 20th century in style and construction.
Unsure of the exact age, but more than happy to help with any further questions.
Condition
In well used condition. Showing age and use with surface rust, oxidation, pitting, scratches, knocks, and weathering throughout. The iron has a heavily aged surface with remnants of old paint and finish visible in places.
There are numerous areas of corrosion and surface wear consistent with long-term outdoor or workshop use. The mounting holes for attaching a top remain present. No obvious breaks or structural damage, and the frame appears solid overall. Some of the tabs have old bolts / fixing that will need to be removed.
Would benefit from a good clean or ideal for refinishing.
We have tried to capture all of these in the photos as best as possible, so please study these as a good indication of cosmetic condition.
