Balinese Puppet Head Painted Carved Wood Exotic Tattoo Jungle Forest Sculpture

This is the head of a Balinese puppet, painted by artist Wayan Tesa in Ubud, Bali, known for his carved wood puppets and colorful painted wood figurines of Buddhas, deities, animals, masks, vessels and more. This is an extraordinary one-of-a-kind painted face split in half.  Approx 2 1/4" base and 4 1/2" tall.

This piece is in very good condition. For most accurate color depiction, temporarily turn off your color filters. See photos 3-6 for detail of surface wood scratches of neck and a minor superficial split at base of back neck, that does not detract from the beauty of this unique piece.
