Having completed many of these myself over the years, I highly recommend following these steps to make your crafting experience seamless:
Flattening the Canvas: Your canvas will arrive rolled for shipping. Before starting, lay it flat under a stack of books or other heavy, flat items for 24+ hours.
Keep the Protective Film On: Only peel back a small section of the clear protective film at a time as you work. This keeps the adhesive fresh and prevents dust, lint, or pet hair from ruining the canvas stickiness.
Work in Small Sections: Many crafters find it much easier and cleaner to complete one small square or color block at a time rather than removing the whole cover.
Use the Tray Shaker: Gently shake the diamond drills back and forth in the included tray. This naturally aligns them right-side up, making them incredibly easy to pick up with your applicator pen.
Press Your Finished Artwork: After placing your final diamond, place a heavy book or flat board overnight on top of the completed canvas to ensure all drills are firmly locked into the adhesive.
Seal for Long-Term Display (Optional): If you plan on framing your spooky masterpiece, a coat of diamond painting sealer will help secure the drills and keep your autumn display sparkling for years to come!
