B Dominici a Matre Dei" is Latin for Blessed Dominic of the Mother of God (born Domenico Barberi). He was an Italian Passionist priest, theologian, and missionary (1792–1849), renowned as the "Apostle to England" for his tireless efforts to revive Catholicism and for receiving John Henry Newman into the Catholic Church.
