This listing is a delightfully Rare find - it is for a pair of original (as early as late Edwardian to possibly 20s to 30s era) mens cotton woven suspenders aka braces. NEW OLD NEVER WORN, PROBABLY OLD STORE STOCK. The most wonderful shade of lilac purple and very thin dark purple pinstripes all while having a bit of a shine. They feel like they should be elastic however, there is very little stretching available, and I believe they were created as such. Well working gold metal hardware. Purple painted Leather straps, the back straps are still hooked together.  I feel they are in extremely good, very sound and very clean condition. The opposite side is showing a bit of age marks, which is why I can attribute them to the era, along w over the years I have sold collarless shirts that have had purple in the design. It was a popular color for well dress man during the Edwardian into the 20s era.  Approx Measurements 1 1/4" strap width, end to end unstretched 38" including the leather, just the straps are 34.5".
These original suspenders have been part of my private collection for over 35 yrs, have always been stored in acid free tissue and in a climate controlled environment. Please ask questions before bidding or making an offer.
