💡 Tips from a Fellow Painter:
- Canvas Creases: To keep shipping costs low, these canvases are folded for transit and will absolutely arrive with fold lines and possibly some creases. This is completely normal. To flatten it out before you begin, simply place the canvas under a few heavy books for a day or two, or carefully iron the backside on a low-to-medium heat setting (I've had no issues using steam, but do let it dry fully before applying Gesso or painting).
- Paint Consistency: The included acrylic paints are intentionally thick and highly pigmented to provide excellent coverage and easily hide the printed numbers. If paints have thickened even more over time, or you just prefer a smoother flow, simply mix in a few drops of water or, for the best result, use an acrylic paint thinner/medium.
- Pro Prep (Optional): For an ultra-smooth experience and a professional finish, you can apply a thin coat of clear or white Gesso surface prep to the canvas before you start. This helps the paint stick beautifully and glide smoothly. Please allow several hours (ideally overnight if you have the patience) for this prep coat to dry before getting started.
- Keep it Fresh: Always snap the paint pot lids tightly shut when you're not using them so they don't dry out.
