Commemorative Series, 330-354 AD, Antioch mint, AE Follis, 14mm, 2 grams. Obverse: CONSTANTINOPOLIS. Bust of Constantinople, helmeted, aureate, draped, and cuirassed, facing left, seen from three- quarters view, with scepter over shoulder.
Reverse: No inscription. 'SMANI' in exergue. Victoria (Victory) standing facing left on a ship's prow, wings outstretched, holding a transverse scepter in her right hand and resting on a shield in her lef.
Nice details and patina with a wonderful and powerful reverse with the personification of Constantinople on the obverse showing strength in some of the most turbulent times in Roman history.
