This is a listing for (1) Silver 1 oz 2012 DEBT & DEATH - BU Reverse - Variant 7.  This was the one variant of Debt & Death round that was minted with a BU reverse rather than proof reverse. This round has been authenticated, slabbed and graded a near-perfect MS69 by ANACS.  This eliminates questions on the authenticity of the metal and the quality of the round and strike.

The original Debt & Death round was the first round minted for the Silver Bullet Silver Shield series.  They changed mints - starting with the Old Glory Mint in Utah before changing to the Mulligan Mint in Texas.  They had issues with quality on the Debt & Death rounds - that is why there are multiple variants of the rounds as they were working on trial and error basis to find quality strikes.

Having sold a few hundred of the Debt & Death rounds over the years I would say most of the rounds would grade well below 65 - probably around MS62.

What tends to happen with collectible rounds over many years is that the highest quality rounds slowly get picked out and become part of collections while the less desirable rounds continue to circulate.  It's been over 13 years since these rounds were minted and most of the higher quality rounds have disappeared.

The Debt & Death round launched the Silver Bullet Silver Shield (SBSS) series back in fall of 2012.  This is an opportunity to get a bit of history with (1) of the rarest variants of the Debt & Death round.  They're obviously not making any more of these rounds and they are becoming rarer as time passes.
