Today I am offering this lovely vintage hand-sculpted and hand-painted porcelain teapot by Franz.

It is a gorgeous creamy white color in the Lemon Design pattern.

It was produced around 2000 and the pattern was discontinued in 2005.

These pieces are getting harder to find, especially in mint condition.

It has pretty yellow and green sculptural lemons and leaves scrolling elegantly across the lid and down the side.

It has a hint of sky blue color at the base.

The tea pot has an ornamental handle with graceful curves.

The matching lid has a figural lemon and leaves finial topper handle.

It measures approximately as follows:

TEAPOT

• 5¾" high, including the lid
• 4⅝" not including the lid
• 7¾" from the tip of the spout to the exterior side of the handle
• 4" across the center from side to side not including the handle or spout
• 2⅜" from side to side across the bottom
• 3½" across the top opening

LID

• 2⅛" high
• 3½" across the top including the flange

It has the Franz name and seagull logo in blue on the underside.

The company name in Chinese character writing is in red

The name May Wei Xuet-Mei is also there. She was the designer.

There are a few other marks incised in the porcelain, but they are too hard to decipher.

One looks like VOHI maybe.

It is in excellent pre-owned condition with no flaws.

I felt every leaf and edge and couldn't find a single bit of damage, by sight or by touch.

It is free from any chips, cracks, crazing, fading, stains, scratches, or utensil marks.

It just looks like it was never used.

I took pictures with and without the flash so you have a clear idea of the depth and color.

The lemon teapot specifically, with the product number FZ00475, was produced in the 1990s and 2000s.
