CANON PIXMA PRO-100

This printer was used heavily from 2018-2026 as our main printer for labels in a business setting. In early 2026, the printer started showing signs of end of life. It still prints, but the error codes and required maintenance are growing, so we replaced it in our shop with a new model for better reliability.

KNOWN ISSUES:

- Greens are coming out blue (see example photo), which suggests the Yellow cartridge/nozzle might need maintenance.

- ERROR CODE 8200: This error code pops up and prevents the print head from moving. Usually can be cleared by power cycling and letting the printer rest for 15 minutes in between.

- ERROR CODE B200: Suggest possible print head failure. This error code has also appeared but is not constant. Print head may simply need cleaning.

- THIRD PARTY INK: Non-Canon aftermarket ink was used all the years the printer was in service. Aftermarket ink is currently installed.

- Dust: We took normal precautions to keep the printer clean, but after years of service there is a bit of dust in hard to clean places.

BONUS INK: I had a fairly large stock of CLI-42 AFTERMARKET (NON CANON) ink when I finally decided I was ready to upgrade to the newer Canon model which uses a different cartridge. Here is the stock of 3rd-Party Aftermarket ink cartridges included with the printer (list does not include what is currently installed in the print head)
