The case has age-related discolouration and yellowing, as can be seen in the photographs. I’ve left it in original condition rather than attempting any retrobrighting.

The important part is that this machine has recently been repaired, thoroughly tested and given a full clean bill of health. It is working exactly as it should and is ready to be enjoyed.

An overvoltage protection module has also been fitted internally. This protects the VIC-20 against one of the most common causes of failure: a faulty original power supply. Should the power supply ever develop an overvoltage fault, the protection circuit will shut the machine down before damage can occur to the internal components.
