Vintage Flatbed Farm Trailer – Project / Glamping Base – £100 ono
Genuine old single-axle farm trailer, recently dug out and ready to go to a new home. Bed approx 11ft 7in long x 5ft 6in wide.
The good: ∙ Heavy-duty steel chassis – seriously over-built, deep section throughout ∙ Period pin hitch (thick drilled drawbar) – hitches straight onto a tractor drawbar ∙ Rolls freely on its own wheels (see video) – not seized ∙ Tyres hold air – old but serviceable for moving/collection ∙ Lightening-holed cross-members – likely an older commercial/lorry-type chassis
Honest faults (priced to reflect): ∙ Timber bed is rotten/scrap – will need replacing, please don’t stand on it ∙ Some rot-through in part of the frame – a straightforward weld repair in heavy steel
A proper project for a vintage restorer, or a heavy rolling base for a glamping/shepherd’s-hut build. Loads of character and a lot of solid steel for the money.
Loading: I can help load using my tractor (reverse it onto your transport) – but only at certain times, around work, so collection is by arrangement. Please message to sort a day/time that works.
