This is the NV-F55B  Hi-fi  VCR, made in Japan and is boxed and comes with it's accessories pack,

 including the working remote control.

I've  tested the machine with both early mono tapes and later hi-fi tapes and picture and sound is fanastic.

Please see video of an old 1982 pre cert tape playing on the machine.

I've also taken the lid off the machine and removed the auto cleaner sponge roller, this is common practise and prevents

damage to the video heads since the 30+ year old sponge on the auto cleaner roller would of deteriorated and will actually start to damage the hi-fi and picture heads on the main drum.

While the lid was off I also cleaned the tape path (i.e.  the various posts,  main head drum,  ACE assembly, capstan and pinch roller using 99.9%  ipa.

Some points to note:

1.  I have not tested  recording.

2.  The picture search, forward and rewind, works but forward seems a bit sticky,  so I would not recommend using

     this feature.

3.  If you haven't learnt how to clean a head drum, using a piece of lint free paper and 99.9 % IPA I would recommend watching

some youtube videos, since the older they get the more crud comes off VHS tapes and cleaning the heads and the tape path

should be a regular job for the serious VHS tape collector.
