These beautiful little ball votive candleholders are made from solid crystal

 glass and features a deep purple inner layer of glass "cased" in an outer 

jacket of clear glass. The clear glass has a controlled bubble pattern of 

very small bubbles rising from the base to the top in a gentle swirl .
This pattern was made by a number of quality glassblowers and examples

 have been attributed to Whitefriars, Holmegaard or Murano.

This example is unsigned so we cannot say for sure who made it. 

The votive measures 7cm in diameter and 6cm deep. 

The candleholder inner width is 1.3cm in diameter, good for a taper candle.
