Jersey History & Significance

The Bears first introduced this modern version of the orange alternate jersey in 2005. It was inspired by the team's all-orange uniforms from the 1930s.

Chicago Bears

The "Vasher Moment": One of the most famous moments in this specific jersey occurred on November 13, 2005, against the San Francisco 49ers. Nathan Vasher returned a missed field goal 108 yards for a touchdown, which at the time was the longest play in NFL history.

Availability: These jerseys were worn as alternates from 2005 to 2011 before being replaced by throwbacks when the NFL switched its uniform supplier from Reebok to Nike.

Nathan Vasher played for the Chicago Bears from 2004 to 2009. He was a standout defensive back known as "The Interceptor".
