This striking and colourful David Hockney poster is quite distinctive, as the image is reproduced at exactly the same size as the original artwork – “Flowers, Apple & Pear on a Table, July 1986” from the 1986 Homemade Prints series.
The piece was produced to advertise the Bradford Fiesta in 1988, a fitting connection as David Hockney was born in Bradford.
It is an original vintage poster printed in 1988.
The text on the poster reads: “Fiesta ’88 Sunday 12th June 1988 11am–6pm St James’s Market, Bradford.”
Printed on thick, almost card-like stock, it differs from standard poster paper in feel and quality.
