Up for sale is a wonderful antique or vintage full-size (4/4) European trade violin, hand-crafted in Germany. This instrument is a rare and premium variant, explicitly labeled and executed as a Special Historical Workshop Copy of Antonius Stradivarius.

This is an authentic estate find in all original condition with no visible breaks, open seams, or major cracks to the wood. It features its beautiful original surface finish with honest historical wear. Inside the instrument, verifying its premium workshop origin, there is a paper label where "Antonius Stradivarius" and the designation "Special Copy" are clearly legible through the f-hole (as shown in the close-up photos). There are also two distinct internal factory brand stamps or seals located directly above and below the label. While the brand stamps are in a tight space, the overall internal markings confirm its German-made Special Stradivarius workshop copy status. The violin features a classic warm amber or brown varnish, a carved spruce top, and a two-piece maple back showing nice natural grain structure.

This outfit includes a highly collectible, authentic vintage Geib Arch Kraft hardshell case made in Chicago, marked with the original brass emblem inside.

Interior: Vibrant, plush red faux-fur lining in good vintage condition.

Exterior: Classic black textured finish with brown faux-leather binding and trim, a heavy-duty stitched leather handle, and brass latches showing a beautiful aged patina.

Structure: The wood appears structurally sound. There are no major open cracks or heavy structural breaks to the top or back plates. All wear is cosmetic surface wear to the varnish, typical for an instrument of this age.

Body and Varnish: The spruce top shows significant authentic finish wear, scratches, and missing varnish below the fingerboard and around the bridge area from decades of playing. Typical minor edge wear and small nicks are present.

Bridge and Soundpost: The bridge is currently uninstalled. The original loose bridge is included inside the case pocket. The strings are loose, so a standard luthier setup and soundpost check will be required.

Scroll and Pegs: The beautifully carved scroll shows typical minor edge nicks. It is fitted with four matching black wooden tuning pegs.

Bows: Includes two wooden student or trade bows stored in the case lid. Both require re-hairing (the hair is loose and frayed), and one bow is missing its frog and screw mechanism.

Shipping and Handling Note
