Vintage, handmade nursing mama cat with 2 baby kittens, 

Design & Pattern: The set is crafted from a bright yellow and white gingham fabric.

The Mama Cat: She is depicted in a reclining position, measuring roughly 14 inches long. Her face is hand-detailed with large, dark blue embroidered eyes, long black whiskers, and a small red tongue peeking out. She wears a matching gingham sunbonnet trimmed with white lace and finished with a small yellow satin bow.

The Kittens: Two smaller 5 inch, matching kittens are included. These are designed to "latch on" to the mother through the use of snaps, simulating nursing.

Such sets were popular DIY projects in the 1970s and 80s, made from commercial sewing patterns like those from Simplicity or McCall's.
