The 1955 Chevrolet Corvette is a landmark vehicle, primarily remembered for introducing the small-block V8 to the Corvette lineup, . While a few six-cylinder versions were produced, the vast majority featured the new V8 engine. Of the total 700 cars produced, 693 featured the 265cid "Turbo-Fire" V8 and this car is no exception.
This is a stunning 1955 Chevrolet Corvette finished in Gypsy Red (paint code 596), complemented by a beautiful White leather interior with Red stitching on the seats. She is like new and looks fantastic in its color combination which is set off by the pristine Beige canvas top. Overall, this is a show car worthy of a look by any collector and given the low production numbers, now 80years later, it is a rare bird as far less of them remain.
This cars small block V8 motor is coupled to her 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and she runs and drives perfectly. The car has traveled just over 82,399 original miles on the odometer. This is a really nice example of the 1955 Chevrolet Corvette that is currently owned by a classic car collector and is kept in his climate controlled, purpose build garage.
