In terms of sound, the greatest appeal is the clear and three-dimensional range characteristic of Sadowsky. A mid-boost switch is located on the back panel, allowing you to select from the following four character settings.
1: 500Hz / Q Factor 1 (Narrow Band)
2: 500Hz / Q Factor 1.7 (Broad Band)
3: 800Hz / Q Factor 1 (Narrow Band)
4: 800Hz / Q Factor 1.7 (Broad Band)
Furthermore, it is equipped with two trim controls, allowing for fine adjustment of the gain amount when the mid-boost is engaged and the output level when the boost is on.
In the factory setting, switch 2 is set to ON, and the two trims are adjusted to the position where the mid-boost gain is maximized and there is no volume difference when switching between active and passive modes.
This mid-boost function provides a thick, groovy tone with presence when fingerpicking, a modern sound with enhanced attack and clarity when slapping, and a powerful midrange that pushes the band sound when picking. You can freely change the character of the bass depending on the situation.
The playability is also a major attraction of this model!
The combination of a stable 34-inch scale length, a smooth neck shape, and a 12-inch radius fingerboard delivers incredibly smooth playability from the low to high positions.
