Buescher Gold Plated True Tone Alto Saxophone 243716 Snaps on offer. The gold plating is in good overall condition (silk finish with burnished stamping/engraving and keys) w/plenty of light tarnish evident and typical key wear.
The horn plays on older pads but struggles past low D due to the E flat trill key leaking and needing adjustment. Also the low Eb trill key guard has been rather sloppily re-soldered.
The body shows plenty of dings but no major dents. The low Eb pad does not have its original snap on resonator but most keys (80% +) present gold plated snaps. The body neck screw ia not original but functions fine.
The No. 1 stamped neck is gold plated but the octave key post has been re-soldered and the octave key is not original. Likely a later model Buescher replacement--functions fine and the neck has some minor dings and needs new cork.
The True Tone sax body, neck and original gold plated body cap will ship in a functional but old original Buescher case that could use new innards. Please see the photos and listen to the play test--feel free to reach out with any questions. Thanks for looking.
