Offered here is an original real photo postcard dating to circa 1910–1912 showing a remarkable early homemade experimental aeroplane identified by the banner in the foreground as “The L & L Aeroplane.”
The image captures a fully hand-built, Wright-influenced aircraft under construction beside a rural barn workshop, with its wooden framework, wing-warping cables, bicycle-wheel landing gear, and pusher-type propeller clearly visible. These one-off amateur aviation projects were common during the earliest years of powered flight, yet very few were documented photographically, making this a rare and historically important survivor. The postcard is printed on AZO stock with the period stamp box and remains in very good condition with strong detail. A scarce look at early American experimental aviation.
Condition:
Light general wear and light toning. No creases or tears observed. Reverse is clean and unused with correct AZO stamp box.
