1910s real photo postcard St. Louis men at picnic table with Gardner Jr. Co. advertising bench.

Original 1910s real photo postcard showing five St. Louis–area men gathered at an outdoor picnic table. The men are identified on the reverse as Pete Groff, E. G. Gould, Dick Green, H. Quante, and Ed Stevens. The photograph records a rural outing with bottles, food, cigars, and period clothing typical of early 20th-century social gatherings.

A key feature of the image is the advertising bench at right. The bench clearly shows the imprint “Gardner Jr. Co. House Furnishers St. Louis Mo.,” associated with the downtown St. Louis home-furnishings firm active during the early 1900s. A close enlargement also reveals text on the bench seat reading “If You Have It / If You Want It / South Third St.,” matching the South Third Street commercial district where Gardner Jr. Co. and several furniture houses operated, confirming the bench as a period St. Louis street-level advertising placement.

Condition:
Good condition with light handling wear and minor toning. The image surface shows clear detail with readable advertising on the bench and legible handwriting on the reverse. The back carries the penciled list of identified individuals.
