OH BOY !
Can you use this?
You are looking at a used vintage
10x14 1963 Rogers Newport mahogany # 3795 incomplete
This is just a shell with label, script badge, grommet, and the two wooden hoops.
The size is 10x14.
This one has Cleveland Serial number 3795.
Year is about 1963 give or take a couple years.
The one big problem with the drum is that it has missing parts.
For this reason, I am calling it a parts drum, or repair project.
You will need 8 center posts.
And the tension rods and claws.
and a four hole throw off strainer.
And the two hole butt.
It still has the two wood hoops.
I think someone painted them black.
So they need another paint job, or a de-finishing.
We left that to you.
Other similar drums seem to have unpainted wood hoops
This snare drum would be fun, and a great players drum when you get it together.
There are quite a few scuffs and scratches in the finish.
It has no extra holes.
The bearing edges may have little nicks,
but have no bad dings in either.
I think this is a three ply shell, with 3 ply reinforcement rings.
Check the photo.
Photos show most of the flaws.
Check the inside shots of the shell.
It is flat grey paint.
The shell is good, but you can further detail it yourself.
The outer mahogany has scratches, scuffs, and some digs in the finish.
This shell itself with the hoops weighs about 2 pounds and 4.4 ounces.
If you need a drum like this, don’t miss out.
I don't have another in 10x14.
I think the 12x15s are more common and easier to find.
If you have any more helpful information, I’d be happy to post it.
As shown.
Please ask about condition.....
if the photos do not seem to tell the whole story, they are part of the description,
ask, before you bid, please.
