SULPHATE OF IRON

Sulphate of iron is a plant food tonic for ericaceous (lime hating) plants such as heathers, azaleas, rhododendrons & camellias. It can be used on any soil to correct iron deficiencies which cause leaf yellowing on roses and shrubs as well as ericaceous plants.

WHEN TO USE

Apply every 4-6 weeks during the growing season from March to the end of August. For best results the powder should be worked into the soil. During dry weather, water before & after application.

Handy application tip:

One handful of Sulphate of Iron is approximately 35g (1 ¼ oz)

Trees & Shrubs

Apply 35g/sq.m (1 ¼ oz/sq.yd) around the base of established plants. Gently fork into the soil surface without disturbing the plant roots. Or alternatively, sprinkle the product over the soils surface, around the stem of the plant and water thoroughly. When planting out apply 35g/sq.m (1 ¼ oz/sq.yd) to the bottom of the planting hole and mix well with the soil or compost when re-filling the hole.

Flowers

Apply 35g/sq.m (1 ¼ oz/sq.yd) on the soil surface and fork in. Take care that the powder does not touch the plant leaves or stems. Water in well after application.

Moss on Lawns

35g / 4.5L water, apply over 6 sq. m.

STORE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE AWAY FROM CHILDREN, PETS & FOODSTUFFS

To be used only where there is a recognised need. Do not exceed recommended application rates.

Use Gloves when handling this product

Avoid contact & wash hands after use.

WARNING

Harmful if swallowed

Causes serious eye irritation

Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product

Wash hand thoroughly after handling

Wear protective gloves / protective clothing / eye protection / face protection

If on skin, wash with plenty of soapy water

If swallowed, rinse mouth with plenty of water, if you feel unwell contact a physician

If in eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, I present and continue to rinse. If eye irritation persists get medical advice.

Do not spill or use on concrete surfaces as this product will leave a rust stain.
