Flattening the Canvas: Your canvas will arrive rolled. Before starting, lay it flat under a stack of books (or other heavy flat items) for 24–48 hours.
Keep the Protective Film On: Only peel back a small section of the clear protective film at a time. This helps keep the adhesive clean and prevents dust, pet hair, and debris from sticking to the canvas.
Work in Small Sections: Many crafters find it easier to complete one small area at a time rather than removing the entire protective cover at once.
Use a Tray for Better Control: Gently shake the drills in the included tray to align them right-side up, making them easier to pick up with the pen tool.
Seal for Long-Term Display (Optional): Once completed, some crafters choose to apply a diamond painting sealer to help secure the drills before framing or displaying their artwork.
Press Finished Artwork: After completion, place the finished diamond painting under a heavy book or stack of books overnight to help ensure all drills are firmly seated and the canvas lies flat.
Last but not least, have fun! If you are new to the world of diamond painting, prepare to become addicted (don't say I didn't warn you). Not only are these fun to work on and provide a sense of accomplishment, but they are also excellent for reducing anxiety. :)
