The D-25 was designed to be Guild's affordable, entry-level workhorse. It went on to become the best-selling model in the entire history of the company. When the Corona factory took over production, Guild returned to the roots of the original 1968 blueprint, opting for an all-mahogany body with a solid flat back, deviating from the arched backs of the late '70s, '80s, and ‘90s. The factory white finish (often nicknamed "Albino" by collectors) was a rare option offered in very limited quantities. The D-25 line was permanently discontinued shortly after this Corona production run ended in 2004, making this guitar one of the final iterations of this iconic model ever manufactured in the United States.
