Tipped in colour plate print of a Geisha and her maid on their way to some festivity.The maid carries a large bundle on her back containing such costumes and properties as her mistress will use in the course of the show.The roll tucked into the obi or girdle of the Geisha is a packet of paper handkerchiefs.The prinit is by Kikukawa Yeizan.Plate II.Dimensions of the colour print is 13.5cm x 20cm.The dimension of the surrounding delicate thick paper on which the colour print is mounted is 23.5cm x 30cm.Everything covered and protected by loose thin plastic except for bottom right hand corner where a small bit of plastic is missing..Bought this over 30 years ago.Small label saying London 1936 The Studio.
