BMW 2000 Z3 M54B25 2.5l turbo 420 HP sport

I present to you this awesome example of BMW Z3 from 2000 AD that was originally 2.0l M52TUB20.

During my over 3 years of ownership of this car I did extensive body and paintwork along with complete engine and suspension rebuild followed by turboing the car.

List of mods is extensive and some may not be listed so before you ask - yes it probably has been done!

I used this car as a project with weekend/tracktoy in mind, hence why its on road legal semi-slicks and why it still has full interior.


Engine:
- Swapped M54B25 that was rebuilt with wider gaps on piston rings to supply turbo,
- Head fully prepared, cut valves and skimmed,
- Athena gasket with firerings,
- Sump baffle + protected oil pump nut,
- Pulsar PTX3071R turbo with .82 AR turbine housing,
- Turbo is well oiled and water cooled (most builds often ommit that!),
- Blow off valve and 45mm wastegate,
- MAC valve to control wastegate with kickdown pedal - normally it boost to 0.8 bar, but pressing kickdown gives you extra boost up to 1.2 bar!
- Oil cooler (never seen oil temp above 110°C on hot day on the track) through S54 oil filter housing,
- Catch can,
- 5.8kg flywheel with kevlar clutch plate and M57 pressure plate,
- new engine mounts,
- custom manifold with WG outlet going to the rest of the exhaust so its nice and quiet,
- stainless steel custom exhaust with CAT,
- ZF gearbox.

Chassis:
- X brace and strut brace,
- MTS Technik coilovers (quite comfy and sporty at same time),
- M3 top strut mounts with eccentric bushes for extra caster,
- Fully rebuilt and powder coated rear subframe with 3.23 torsen type 2 LSD diff,
- Eccentric bushes on rear to get extra adjustment on toe/camber.
- 330i E46 front brakes and Ferodo DS2500 pads all-over (still have plenty of meat on them),
- Full custom braided lines,
- BMW E39 style 66 17” 8j wheels,
- Nankang AR1 225/45/17r semi-slick road legal tyres (still plenty of thread, only seen 2 short trackdays).

Body:
- Brand new genuine BMW sills, lots of new panels on the car,
- Has been FULLY resprayed in original colour,
- Underbody has been protected against rust,
- Car is super clean, especially underneath.

Interior:
- Rare blue leather,
- Freshly reconditioned blue sport seats,
- Blue gaiters and handbrake cover.

Electronics:
- Gauge.S with boost control,
- Wideband AFR,
- Oil pressure,
- MS43X custom firmware ECU with MAP sensor based VE tables that has been well calibrated to use all 8 VE extended maps,
- I did tuning myself, dyno proven 420 HP on 1.2 bar boost.

Other bits:
- MOT till November 2026,
- 165 000 miles on the clock,

Why I am selling then?

Well time for different projects, wanted to learn how to make proper turbo without forging the engine and it seems like I succeeded. Don't have space for it and my skill is too low to enjoy such powerful car on the track.

Car is very fun to drive on a track. Can send my instagram where I posted video from Cadwell Park lap I did in it. I also have dyno video there.

I am open to offers, want to sell quickly as I need to buy a house to contain all those projects I do..
